This tour start just outside the Madeira Natural Parque. From this point we climb aproximatly 6km and 300 meters elevation before we start our fun descend. Then we ride the levada in the direction of Portela, with the endemic Laurel Forest covering the trail.The sightseeing point of Portela offers a spectacular view over the North side of the island. After a small break we continue along dirt roads and trails and some climbs. And take an old road down to Machico, finishing at sea level.
